Musicians

Simon Thorpe - bandleader & double bass
Thumps out a mean bass line but can't keep his head still. Jivin' Miss Daisy's bandleader and style guru, he has featured on several CDs with many top jazz acts including Stacey Kent, Bobby Wellins and Alan Barnes, and on TV's Big Breakfast. He has written and arranged music for many theatre productions and music libraries, and for BBC TV.

Anjali Perin - vocals
Anjali has a great personality and a sweet and strong voice... we know you're gonna love her - we do! She has featured at many of London's top venues and in 2007, released her debut CD. We hope to record her with Jivin' Miss Daisy as soon as we can!
Malcolm Earle Smith - trombone
Top notch artiste of the slide plumbing & no mean crooner! Has recently played & sung around the world in Bryan Ferry's swing band and has recorded with James Langton's Solid Senders and with Digby Fairweather.
Simon Finch - trumpet
Flamboyant, hot-lips blues & swing master, Simon has worked with Tom Jones,
Jools Holland and the Pop Idols big band. And wait til you see him shake his maracas!
Luke Annesley - clarinet & saxes
A fine exponent of the Johnny Hodges style. You'll have seen Luke several times a week in the house band of the Johnny Vaughan TV show, and he is a regular
with the John Wilson Strings and the Pasadena Roof Orchestra
.
Alex Garnett - tenor & baritone sax
Has a big, loud sax sound & an even bigger, louder suit. Alex spent many years as Ray Gelato's right-hand man in the Giants, famously opening for Robbie Williams' Royal Albert Hall spectacular.

Nick Dawson - piano

Nick is an amazing talent and is without doubt the best young swing piano player in the country. Also well-known as an excellent singer and West End Musical Director, his musical gifts seem to know no bounds!

Colin Oxley - guitar
Plays all the right chords, having nailed the rhythm department for Stacey Kent on numerous tours and CDs, and now works with Steve Kaldestad and star Japanese songstress Eriko Ishihara. Plays a great blues solo whilst keeping his head perfectly still.
Matt Skelton - drums
Has rattled the kitchenware for Ray Gelato, the Syd Lawrence Orchestra and Harry "Sweets" Edison. Has toured and recorded extensively with Stacey Kent and the British-born Hollywood conductor John Wilson. Loves to drive the band in perfect swing time.
